The Chevrolet HHR Panel is a modified version of the regular HHR, deleting the rear seats to provide a flat, rugged load floor and over 60 cubic feet of total cargo capacity (including underfloor storage) for enhanced functionality. Rear door handles and windows are also removed to optimize side panel space, offering a smooth exterior look that will appeal to both small business owners who want to place advertising on their vehicles and retro fans alike.
The front-wheel drive HHR Panel is available in two trim levels: LS and LT. A 149-hp 2.2-liter four-cylinder engine and five-speed manual transmission are standard on both trims. A 172-hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine is also available for the LT, and a four-speed automatic transmission is optional on all trims. The HHR Panel LS is equipped with 16-inch wheels, cruise control, air conditioning, satellite radio and MP3 capability; LT trims add a power driver's seat and a cargo net. An optional 2LT package outfits the LT with additional features that include a sport-tuned suspension, alloy wheels, fog lights and a leather-wrapped steering wheel/shift knob. Safety features on every HHR Panel include stability and traction control systems, 4-wheel anti-lock brakes, front airbags, overhead curtain airbags and a tire pressure monitoring system.
The Chevrolet HHR Panel carries over with minimal changes for 2010. The performance-oriented SS has been removed from the trim lineup.

A major benefit of the old-school design is excellent visibility all around, making lane changing and parking less stressful. -- Edmunds.com
A smooth, quiet ride is the HHR's biggest strength, as its softly calibrated suspension soaks up the bumps. -- Edmunds.com
We found the Chevy HHR to be fun to drive. It isn't a sports car, but it's nimble and we were pleased with its acceleration. The HHR feels more responsive than its horsepower, torque, and transmission ratio numbers suggest. Plus, it gets decent fuel economy. -- New Car Test Drive
